We’re proud to share that MPA’s long-standing PR consultant, Chris Mitchell – who runs Red Tree PR – is taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon this April in support of a cause incredibly close to his heart.

Chris is running to raise vital funds for Footprints Conductive Education Centre, a Nottingham-based charity that supports children with Down Syndrome and other disabilities. Footprints recently moved into a brand-new centre and are currently raising money to help fit out the space, turning it into an inspiring and supportive environment for the children they care for.

Chris’s motivation is deeply personal. His youngest son Alfie, who has Down Syndrome, has been attending Footprints for several years. Over the past 18 months, Alfie has also been bravely battling leukaemia. Now in remission, Alfie is back at Footprints, and the charity’s team has been a pillar of strength and support throughout his journey.

Chris shared more of their story on LinkedIn a recent post to mark World Down Syndrome Day.

We’re all behind Chris as he takes on this challenge. Further information is available on his Just Giving Page. You can also sponsor him there too if you would like to.

Good luck Chris!
