Over the past month there have been several standout performances at Barnt Green which have helped the side make it through to the last 16 of the ECB National Club Championship and cement their league position.
A blue chip 70* from RoMi Brar saw Barnt Green progress in the ECB National Club Championship against an excellent Didsbury Cricket Club. In a rain effect affected match, Barnt Green were set 225 from 29 overs and managed to get across the line with 128/2 from 18 overs (via Duckworth Lewis) before the electrical storms returned.
The following week, Jacques Banton starred as the 1stXi were set 232 by Omberdsley Cricket Club in the Birmingham League Clash at Cherry Hill Road. Jacques broke the back of the chase with an imperious 150 not out as Barnt Green cruised to a 7-wicket win.
