This year saw the 50th Anniversary of Suckling Waddington & Partners, and Gary Cowley has been a partner in the business for 20 of those years.
In a recent letter to clients, Gary has announced that he will be starting his retirement process in March 2024. For a period of time, Gary will be remaining within the business to ensure a smooth transition and there is no disruption to the level of service which you receive. It is imperative that a successful business like SWP has a succession strategy in place.
For the last five years SWP has been a part of MPA Financial Management Limited based in Henley-in-Arden.
MPA is a Chartered Financial Advisory firm who have been operating since 1988. They have a team of over 30 staff and successfully manage over £750m of investments on behalf of clients. They have been ranked in the Citywire Top 100 Adviser firms in the UK for the last 10 years and are one of the largest regional IFA’s in the Midlands .
MPA’s Managing Director, Phil McGovern, who Gary has known personally for many years, along with his team share the same ethos and focus as SWP and are committed to keeping the SWP brand and team in Worcester for years to come.
In terms of our office in Worcester, it is very much business as usual. We have recently promoted Iveta Golding to Office Manager and she is supported by our Administrators Gail Te Braake, Jackie Conway and new employee Joanna Szczygiel.
In terms of Advisers, we continue to have a very experienced advisory team;
Eamonn Lynch – joined SWP in 2013 and has over 44 years of experience within financial services, having previously worked for some of the largest financial services companies in the UK. Eamonn offers full holistic planning to his ever-expanding portfolio of clients.
Paul Green – Joined SWP in 2015 and has over 35 years of experience within financial services, having previously worked for Commercial Union and CJL Probate. Paul specialises in pension and investment advice.
Lindsey Jones – Joined SWP in 2020 with over 21 years’ experience in the banking sector and offers full holistic planning advice. Lindsey has been working closely with Gary in preparation for his retirement and the transition of his clients.
The SWP Team will continue to look after the SWP clients in the same manner we have done for the last 50 years, with the support of MPA Financial Management Limited.
Commenting on his upcoming retirement, Gary said: “I have made many friends and have really enjoyed looking after clients and supporting them through the different stages of their life, over the years. It has been an absolute pleasure to have been a part of SWP for over 20 years and I wish you all the best for the future – I know that I will be leaving SWP is safe hands.”
